Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga encourages us to be kind to ourselves and our bodies. We move slowly and mindfully so every student can enter safely into, and enjoy, each pose. The practice includes delicious mindful stretches, therapeutic functional movements, breathing practice, and balance. Blocks and straps helpful.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is a fun flow practice, moving like a dance from one pose to another, interspersed with some refreshing holds. Each class starts with a short mindful meditation and some range-of-motion stretches to prepare for zesty challenges ahead. Students are encouraged to honor their bodies and take offered modifications when they choose.

Restore your spirit with guided visualizations and yoga nidra.

Meditating can help us weather life’s ups and downs with greater ease and less fear. Scientists have shown that meditation increases activity in the left prefrontal cortex of the brain, the area associated with positive moods, equanimity, and emotional resilience.

“The mind is the king of the senses, but the breath is the king of the mind.” –Hatha Yoga Pradipika

Restorative Yoga

Restorative poses use gravity and props to subtly stretch the body and induce a relaxation response. As you learn to let your body truly rest on the ground and be held up by your props, you make space for breath to flow through you. Full, deep, natural breathing sends messages to the brain that you are safe, which deepens relaxation and enhances the healing potential of the practice. Blocks, blankets, strap, and bolster or pillows recommended.
